We’ve all seen the [GameSlots Firmware](https://forum.makecode.com/t/gameslots-save-multi-games-at-the-same-time/18664) for the Meowbit by @AqeeAqee and I for one was very impressed. I was inspired to start working on my own custom firmware for the Meowbit which is why I am creating _ **BetterMeowbit** _. BetterMeowbit is custom firmware for the Meowbit that (should) reimplement gameslots, improve performance, and add a UI (Hopefully more features, I’m open to suggestions) I currently have a [GitHub Repo](https://github.com/HomeAssistantTycoon/BetterMeowbit-Firmware) but I would strongly advise **not** flashing it to your Meowbit as it is currently in early phases and the custom firmware is not ready to accept games yet. When i say it’s safe to download, I will release a file which you can flash to your meowbit. Unfortanently, the project is currently facing some headwinds so it could be a week or two, I will keep people updated in this thread. ---

(as of right now the firmware is just nearing the creation of its bootup screen which has taken me a couple hours, so there is still a lot to accomplish) ---

DO NOT USE THE flasher.uf2 ARTIFACT IN YOUR MEOWBIT. It will cause a half-brick and it will overwrite all other files. Until I figure out how to unbrick my Meowbit this project is suspended indefinitely.
