I’d like inbuilt _blocks_ dictionary/json-format support? In python, it just shows up as \<python code\> so I’d love a blocks way, maybe extension?

You could use [Block objects](https://github.com/microsoft/arcade-block-objects). They provide similar functionality, given that they’re just JS objects in block form. You can assign values of any type with a key to the object and retrieve it. The only caveat is that the keys are enum entries, and not strings - so if you’re planning to do something super flexible it can get pretty complicated. But for the most part it should be enough.
