# Adafruit Circuit Playground express and Adafruit min IR remote control

Hi,

I’m trying to use the Adafruit mini IR remote contro [https://www.adafruit.com/product/389l](https://www.adafruit.com/product/389l) with the Circuit Playground express.

The On infrared receive does not register a button press. How can I get it to work? Appreciate any suggestions. I’ve tried several things, but no luck.

I don’t think it’s supported at the moment based on the existence of [GitHub: microsoft/pxt-adafruit Support Adafruit mini IR remote #1071](https://github.com/microsoft/pxt-adafruit/issues/1071).

If CircuitPython is appropriate I’m sure it works there.
