# Add icons to blocks in a MakeCode extension

Hi everyone,
I’m new on developing extension for micro:bit on MakeCode.
I was wondering if it is possible to add an icon to a custom block just to have a graphic reference.
I couldn’t find naything about that on forums and official documents, so probably it is not possible but maybe there are some workaround to make it works…

I haven’t seen anything like that. If it’s not used in any of the normal blocks then it probably doesn’t exist. You can, however, write a help page for the block, which shows up when you right click the block and click the “help” option, and I think you can put anything in there.

do you mean adding icons to the blocks itself or for the extension
for extensions yes its possible to add icons
