Hey folks!
It’s the first Monday of the month which means it’s time to start another mini game jam!
October just so happens to be my favorite month; not only is it right at the start of Fall (the best season), but it also contains the best holiday of the year. This month, we’re going to ask for games that focus on that very holiday. That’s right! The October mini game jam theme is **Halloween**!
We’re looking for games about ghosts, ghouls, trick-or-treating, excessive amounts of candy, horror movies, costumes, etc. Your game doesn’t have to explicitly mention Halloween so long as it has that spooky vibe we all know and love.
In other words, you can interpret this however you want as long as it’s clear to the player how it relates to the theme.
## Rules
1. Games should be built in MakeCode Arcade
2. Games should clearly adhere to the theme without the need for any extra explanation
3. Keep the games PG: no NSFW, offensive, or excessively violent content.
4. You must be at least 9 years old to participate.
5. All games must be submitted by someone who is at least 13 years old. Younger students are welcome to participate, but it must be in partnership with an adult and with parent permission.
You have two weeks to enter! The jam will close at **11:59 PM PDT on Monday, October 16th 2023**
As always, all of the submitted games will be played on [our Twitch channel](https://www.twitch.tv/msmakecode) live stream on the Friday after the game jam ends (October 20th, 2023 at 1:00PT). Participants will also get an exclusive forum badge!

- I’m always soaking wet from sweat
- mosquitos
- mosquitos again because I hate them
- the little flying bugs everywhere that fly into my eyes when I ride a bike
- random thunderstorms out of nowhere

Over here in Washington Summer and Winter are amplified by 2.
Fall is just pure suffering though
And spring doesn’t exist.
