# Any plans to make makecode APIs public?

Hi.

Are there any plans to make the makecode API available to general public? maybe a documentation or making it open-source?

The proper function of our own hosted editor requires us to implement the APIs that makecode use but are not open-source. Hence, we are unable to use:  
1. Share option  
2. Login with github  
3. Cloud complilation ( kind of important for proper function of makecode)
