# Best Makecode arcade hardware?

@Richard quick question, what is the most powerful, (largest memory space for storing big games) and overall best hardware device for makecode arcade?

i’m not up to date on all the arcade boards that exist now, but we support four processor families for arcade:

- stm32 (used by meowbit, tinkergen gamego, brainpad arcade, etc.)
- samd51 (used by adafruit pygamer and pybadge, kitronik ARCADE)
- nrf52 (used by micro:bit v2)
- rp2040 (not currently used by anyone afaik)

…and there are variants within each of those processors that have different amounts of ram/flash storage.

in general, samd51 boards have the most memory and storage. well, actually, the rp2040 does but as mentioned nobody is using it yet i think

Cuz I own a Basic “Microsoft Makecode Arcade” (the blue, game boy lookin’ thing) and wanted to see if i could get me a hardware upgrade for christmas
