👋 Hello Person who clicked this post, _Da Funi Pixel Guy_ here. This post is going to be me ranting about what Makecode games I think are the **BEST** in their genre and why! I’ll also be talking about how I would like to see the game improve and things I think could be done differently! I’ll Also be including **RUNNER-UPS** , but will not go into as much detail with them as the winner.

- This Post will include **NO BIASED OPINION** What-so-ever. It will just be my honest opinion.
- If I don’t mention your game, that doesn’t mean it’s bad. Almost the **ENTIRETY** of this forum Is filled with pretty amazing games! This is all my opinion and I’m not trying to spark any hate or competition.
- I have to dig **REALLY** deep into the forum to find the best game of each genre. Like, **REALLY** Deep.

**PLATFORMER** 🏃♂️
🏆 Best game: [Three Brave Cats 2: Return to the Sea](https://forum.makecode.com/t/three-brave-cats-2-return-to-the-sea/14327) (by @danger_kitty)
This game… **OH MY GOD THIS GAME…** This is a forum classic! Great Gameplay, the story is intriguing, The boss fights are EPIC! and overall, this game is a masterpiece. If you haven’t already played this, click the link…no question. just click it.
🥈 Runner Up: [Procedurally Generated Platformer](https://forum.makecode.com/t/procedurally-generated-platformer/8500) (by @UnsignedArduino)
It isn’t a shock that an UnsignedArduino game is here, even as a Runner Up. The Random generation is a twist that blew me away the first time I played it. While It may just be jumping and falling, the idea is outstanding and the execution was _mwah_ 👌

Ok, **THIS IS NOT BIASED I SWEAR.** 😅 There’s just not enough FINISHED fighting games or at least ones with enough content other than mine and like, 3 others. I have no criticism for myself.

It’s content filled at least. It’s not so easy to learn the controls but once you do, you can have a blast beating up your 2nd player friend 😈

It’s the WAY better revamp of my old game [CyberShift](https://forum.makecode.com/t/cybershift-v-4-5-new-art/17492). The physics are clean, the art is Perfect and the level’s Aren’t CRAZY UNBALANCED! I honestly have no criticism for this game. Keep doing what you’re doing! 👍

I Really Like the idea of Subway surfers in Makecode! The art is clean and the tutorial is nice simple and overall, easy to understand! I would change the music to something less…Rough? other than that, Underrated game, would recommend checking it out!

Underrated as heck. Everything from the Gameplay, to the Scenery is just breathtakingly beautiful. Everything flows so well! The usage of your surroundings is a brilliant touch. I know the game is a pico-8 port but it’s Still TECHINCALY a Makecode game since it was Posted AS a game made in Makecode! The game would benefit from a tutorial of some sort though. aside from that 10/10 game. Ladybugs take the W 🐞

When I say underrated, I **MEAN** underrated. how does THIS MASTERPIECE only have **146 VIEWS?!** (as I am writing this.) It’s so EASY to understand and the puzzles are SMART and WELL THOUGHT OUT! Me being absolute **ANTI-GRASS TOUCHER** I am, beat EVERY. SINGLE. LEVEL… **TWICE!!!** With all this said, it could use some better art.

Great gameplay, great maps, great mechanics, it’s ALL great. I really think this game stands out because someone saw a fellow forum members game and thought: _Hmmm…Maybe I can make this better!_ I would put more visual indication on where your destination is but it’s still cool none the less!

This Demo is CRAZY GOOD. It seems more like a FINISHED GAME! The story is great but hard to follow, The combat is a very original idea, And don’t get me STARTED on how GOOD that music is! 🎶

Definately, i’m still quite the beginner in music! I’m very glad that if any of my games were fetured, it would be this one. So much fun, and I still play it on my arcade machine often!

as for the puzzle.. I have to disagree! Brohann’s puzzle legue game is always #1 for me, so well made. These other games are also really cool though!
Oh, and props to you for making this super long and AMAZINGLY fomatted post! I love how much effort is put in!

I personally don’t think @demoCrash’s games should be included because they didn’t do the art or design the game just migrate it over to makecode arcade.
