# \[BUG\] tilemap8 doesnt work

steps:

1. create a project
2. go to js
3. type tilemap8``
4. click tilemap button to the left
5. makecode breaks!

With all due respect, could it possibly be because 8x8 tile maps aren’t normally supported?

no, before the latest update, 8x8 tilemaps worked. Also, 4x4, 8x8, 16x16, and 32x32 are all supported.

they definitely are to some extent or they would show up at all in the js editor
