# Can I use extensions in profit games?

The official MakeCode policy is that game creators can distribute their Arcade creations in non-commercial settings. This extends to the official extensions provided in our library.

On the other hand, while we do not encourage the sale of MakeCode games, I don’t believe we have any rules against creating extensions in JavaScript and allowing people to purchase them for use in Arcade games. Maybe that would be the better route.
