## Hello and welcome to the Channel 0 News Revival post! Channel 0 News started February of 2024. In that time, we fought though competitors, decline in our target media, and so much more. We were their to report on TMF3, we shared CopySprite’s first game. We saw many users come and go, yet through it all we remained. We will always be back to report the news. Early this September user @redSprite announced this years elections were to be held at the end of the month. This immediately led to a record shattering number of potential options for who will lead the community into the future for the next year to come. Multiple of these candidates have yet to show us what they promise to bring to the community, but if they choose to they would have the possibility of being the 2nd president on these forums! At the time of writing this the front runners of this election appear to be the following: The Astrunzero Triumvirate (a group of three people including myself, Astro, and Rune), the HulaEarth Duo (a duo of HulaHoop and TheEarth), ScriptScraper, and RizeUpDev. All these candidates have made strong promises to progress the forum. However there are more options as well and you can find them in this [link](https://forum.makecode.com/t/the-makecode-arcade-presidental-election-of-2026/45694). ## Star of the Show @CopySprite has created their own game jam and it’s on track to be among the most successful in forum history. This jam known as “Sprite Stars” is stage-based game jam which are notoriously hard to pull off, but if anyone can it’s CopySprite. We are still at the early stages of this game jam, but I can’t wait to see where it goes. CopySprites game jam is so good that other people have been having trouble starting their own with all the hype around the Sprite Stars jam. I wish you well with this CopySprite! ## Unsigned Updates @UnsignedArduino finally updated the Awesome Arcade website after over a year. The community has been experimenting with the new extensions and now we get to enjoy a creative surge in our beautiful community. ## Game of the Week The first game of the week of this new era of Channel 0 News goes to… @MeowBix with their AMAZING game which is a Minecraft Remake inside MakeCode. I say all the time when seeing MakeCode Minecraft remakes that it CANNOT get better, yet every time without fail someone as clever as MeowBix makes something like this and proves me wrong.
