What is the easiest way to make a flying enemy stay in the air, move around a bit and attack you when near?

The enemy could be have a hitbox follow it around, and when the player touches it, it could swoop down and attempt to hit the player.

Hey guys. I havenโt posted in a while. Been busy making my new Undertale style RPG game, BAb1es! Raf of _Fleleuegcheged._ I want to make it very clear that **this games humor is going to be on point.** Iโve dubbed it: DD Core. Heres some perfect examples:
