Well, you see it starts a long way back…(not really)
Honestly, I don’t really remember how I did.
I was already watching the forums. I just never created an account. I go to somewhere called **Code Ninjas** where I fell in love with coding. I didn’t even know what coding was. My dad just took me there and that’s when I found out the whole world of computer science and technology. Just like any other beginner, I was confused at times. Why did this bug not work? Why was my code not working? etc. After starting to get the hang out it, I realized that coding is not simple, fast paced, and easy; it’s a “hard workout” of the mind. Back then (this makes me feel old), I used to do piano (which I still do), and **Touch Shooting**. I quit, **Touch Shooting** to chase my dream of piano, and then when I was introduced to coding, I never quit. That’s why I’m still here.
I learned Python, I found it quite hard at the time and is why I hate Python still (boooooo!!! image hating Python!!!). But, learning Python and failing gave me something in which JS/TS and my coding career would’ve never succeeded: “I learned how I like to learn something”
Instead of just learning how to write code and do simple programs (which is probably why I failed: cause I read it from a book that barely does that!), I learned the concepts of JS/TS and how they intersect with one another. I learned that global/local vars, are just ins/outs in JS/TS. I learned that JS/TS gives you the ability to freely use hidden functions that are not quite accessible in blocks; and I learned that Python’s syntax is way easier then JS/TS syntax. (But that’s just my preference)
I outperformed everyone at Code Ninjas. I progressed real fast, and in only 2 years, made it to blue belt (I don’t know if that’s good @TheEarth ); the teachers were real impressed with my games; though, the levels are so easy now, that I get completely bored and spend a couple months just working on one game. I still want to move on to Unity/Godot. They let me skip a belt before. So why not now?
Even though I can’t skip a belt, this gave me the ability to find the **Awesome Arcade Website** which then, led me to the **MakeCode Forums** in which I quickly figured out that there was a whole community of Makecoders all here, and could finally show my skill to everyone.
So, that’s how I joined the MakeCode Forums (simplified). Also, the reason why I created a account was to talk to coders like us, and so I could compete in Game Jams and create/release my extensions to the public.

Alright, as I am currently typing out this post, I would like to announce that I **officially finalized the idea queue** for the future “Marvel-of-Software-Engineering” essays. With the essay about the programming language Java ( [Chatting Area! Have fun! - #9722 by Taser](https://forum.makecode.com/t/chatting-area-have-fun/8740/9722) ) having been released nearly 1 week ago, there are **7 more essays** to post before I put the essay series to an end.
### **ESSAY QUEUE**
- Essay #12 =\> Redis
- Essay #13 =\> Linux
- Essay #14 =\> Google Translate
- Essay #15 =\> Valve Source Engine
- Essay #16 =\> Twitch
- Essay #17 =\> (Original 1985) Super Mario Bros

My college classes are really starting to ramp up in their rigor, so there’s going to be several-week intervals in-between each essay release. I would say that you all could expect the **Redis (#12) essay to come out sometime by the end of September 2026.** I figure that everything else will end sometime within early 2027.
