A lot! Here’s my lineup this year for my gifts (But don’t tell them!)

  • A 3d printed + painted trophy
  • A collage
  • A bunch of little sculptures
  • A knitted plushie
  • A handmade bowl

What does your family give eachother at the holidays?

Merry Christmas!!!
(I know that it is technically not christmas yet but still)

I was learning how to use GB Studio to make homebrew games for the Gameboy and GameBoy Color! I decided to port over one of my favorite makecode arcade games as a christmas present to everyone! Also, you can play it on your actual gameboy color or original gameboy using some sort of flash cartridge or cartridge flasher!

Woah, how did you get the text do to that?
Also, DANG that music is a BANGER!!!

Cool! I love the music, it’s a bop! Just one thing, the controls are a little weird, I had to mash my keyboard to figure out how to move!

(A and D for left and right and J for jumping)

Jingle bell
Jingle bell
Jingle bell rock,
Jingle bells swing
and
Jingle bells ring,
Snowin' and blowin,
Up bushels of fun,
Now the jingle hop has begun,
Jingle bell
Jingle bell
Jingle bell rock
Jingle bell
Chime in jingle bell time,
Dancin' and Prancin in jingle bell square,
In the frosty air!

Merry christmas guys
and happy holidays.

Thanks for the compliment! The emulator on the website uses pretty basic keybinds.

arrows - d-pad
wasd - d-pad
z - a
x - b
enter - start
shift - select

Pretty much the same as makecode.
Also, if you like the music you can say thank you to Beatscribe because I didn’t make it.

Anyway, I ended up getting a gameboy catridge flasher for christmas and I threw together this prototype:

The finished cartridge will have

  • a lime green gameboy color shell
  • an actual sticker instead of a piece of paper glued to the shell like I did in the prototype
  • hopefully art for the sticker instead of a screen shot with some text on it

lol I guess I’ll need an artist

Merry Christmas, everyone!

I wanted to post a note here letting y’all know that many of the forum regulars wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

To keep the forum from getting too cluttered, we won’t be letting all of the individual posts through in their own threads, but you all are welcome to post your merry wishes here!

Cheers,
~Kiki

Made with Aesprite
First time doing something organic at this scale what do you think? I decided to trace the outline from this:
Cat
because I could not be asked to do proportion lol
Also fun fact this resolution is 160x120 so this compatible with makecode!
