I think I’ve decided to leave the Forums. It was fun for a while but I kind of feel like maybe I should make some friends in the physical world instead. It was cool to see all the achievements of everyone here and even become a part of the community but it’s hard for me to truly befriend anyone I can’t see. Thank you @randomuser for being very kind to me, @TheEarth for paying attention to the stuff I posted even though I was a new user, @RoboVacDev for commenting on my games, @MeatballDev for filling each topic with jokes, and @CopySprite for providing blunt, practical advice on each of my games. @redSprite as well. It’s been a pleasure knowing you all. Sorry for how sudden all this has been. I will be releasing all versions of MyCraft on “About MyCraft”. ---

It’s not that I don’t think you’re a good person, just that it’s very hard for me to consider people I don’t physically know as my friends. I guess that sounds pretty harsh but it really has been good knowing you and I’m glad to have met you. See you on the other side then. ---

Hey guys, So, uh, yeah. This is a post I’ve been drafting in my head for weeks, and I’m finally just gonna type it out and hit post before I overthink it. First off, I’m so, so sorry for basically ghosting the forums. I know I just kinda vanished right as the Heist Jam was kicking off, and I’ve been pretty quiet while Coder King 5 has been heating up. It kills me to say this (ESPECIALLY WHEN I SAW THAT POLL), but I’m not going to be able to submit a game for either. Typing that out genuinely sucks. The Heist Jam theme was so cool, and I had this insane idea for it! I made a procedurally generating map and everything and then I just… yeah. And then Coder King 5… man. That one _really_ hurts. Like I seriously didn’t want to miss it. I feel like I’m letting you all down, and I’m especially letting down the guys who voted for me on the poll. I am genuinely, properly upset about it. Like seriously, I’m actually so sorry. So, the inevitable question is where the have I been? The short, boring answer is **School**. I’m getting absolutely obliterated by my final year of secondary school. We’re talking a tsunami of exams, projects, and deadlines that has completely consumed my life. My brain is so fried by the end of the day that even thinking about opening MakeCode feels impossible. But that’s only half the story. And this is the part that’s a little wild and kinda fun. Ok, this feels kinda dumb to say, but you know how I’m the “storytelling guy”? Well, a story idea hit me a while back, and it… it just wouldn’t let go. It started as a cool concept for a game, but it quickly grew into this massive, unwieldy, complex beast. I kept trying to shrink it down into a jam-sized game, but I felt like I was butchering it. It just demanded more time than anything allows. So, I made a tough call. I decided to just… write it, just as a pure story. A book, I guess? It’s creepy cuz I don’t have a name for it yet, and it’s very meta. Like you know how TMF3 was all meta and about how the characters know their in a game? Well… it’s like that. I’ve realised I’m REALLY GOOD AT WRITING METANARRATIVE STORIES. Anyway, this story… it’s big. Like it is BIG. It’s the most ambitious and personal thing I’ve ever worked on. I’ve been spending every spare second I’m not studying just pouring this thing out into a doc. It’s all I can think about. It’s my escape from the school stress, but it’s also the reason I’ve had zero mental bandwidth for anything else. I know it’s not a game. And I know that’s what this community is all about. But this story is the core of what I _want_ to build one day. I’m not abandoning game dev, far from it. My dream is to eventually become a full-fledged game dev, and this story is the first, giant step toward that. I’m going to make this story into a game when I grow up. So it’s like the foundational lore for a future project I’m insanely passionate about. So, I had an idea. I might post this story on the forums when it’s finished. It’ll be a series of posts (cuz it might go above character limit), but I want you all to be the first to see it. For now, though, I need to survive school and finish writing this monster. I’m so sorry again for my silence and for missing these incredible jams. Please go make some absolutely legendary games for the Heist Jam and Coder King 5. I’ll be lurking and cheering you all on from the sidelines, feeling a massive wave of FOMO, but hey. Thanks for understanding. You’re all the best. ---

Hi guys, so ive been looking for a different engine latley because makecode has not been satisfying my irl devs, so i decided i can still make games on here with other ppl like @Hulahoop and the rest of my team, But just recently, all of my code got DELETED for a game ive been working on for a long time, So yeah, im DONE with makecode this has happened to many times. I may as well just say this, as I have basically quit the forums. I have been growing apart from the forums. You might have noticed me posting less, or not. Between a few users leaving, and a lot of new users joining who are ~~definitely~~ possibly too young to be on the forums, the quality of the forums has gone WAY down. I don’t want to say anything nasty and get banned, but I am really frustrated. This was such a good community when I joined, but I am finding myself muting users just to cut through the endless noise. I have had this up on my profile for a few weeks, but I am not surprised no one saw it, as I haven’t even posted in days. Please consider trying to make the forum a better place if you haven’t already. Bye all 😭 ---
