# Deleted games

Sometimes when I restart my computer or shut it down, all the games on the home screen of the website that I made are gone. any way to get them back or do I have to make more?

That will be irritating if you were nearly finshing a project

The projects that you create in MakeCode are stored in your browser. If you browser clears its data, you may lose the projects that you have created.

Get in the habit of saving your projects to your computer, just as with any other program. It helps whenever your browser dumps its data or when you use a different browser or computer. It also is very helpful if you need to go back to a previous version of a project.
