# Different languages in Makecode

Hey! Can you type in a different language on Makecode? I’ve noticed you can with Spanish but they have the (almost all) same characters as English. Is it possible for me to type in Russian?

By the way, go to google translate and translate what you need, that is what I did.

True. You can copy and paste. I think you mean adding new drop down boxes in a different language though

Yep, we support [unicode](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unicode)! Only thing to note is that the unicode font in Arcade is much bigger than the other font for certain languages (12x12 instead of 6x8).
