Hi.
I am looking for an affordable DIY shield to allow students to play Make Code Arcade games at school. Does anyone have a schematic diagram and recommended colour screen? I have some electronics ability but no formal training.
I have looked at the commercial offerings but these are just too expesive.

Thanks.

Hello @FatCat970 ,
There are many tutorials MakeCodes website offers. The shell however might be a bit more of a challenge. Amazon has some bartop shells that you could put a monitor and raspberry pi in.

Shells are very expensive the cheapest one I could find was on Amazon. But you’ll save much more money making it yourself.
The Amazon link I found:

> **[Amazon.com: LVL23 2 Player Bartop Arcade Cabinet Kit for 19" to 23" Screens...](https://www.amazon.com/Player-Cabinet-Screens-SanwaALL30-buttons/dp/B0CK6ZBWNX)**

The MakeCode tutorial on how to make the shell:

If you’re looking for controls I’d recommend these:

By the way [EG starts](https://www.amazon.com/stores/eg-starts/page/9F3F88BA-151F-4321-82B5-B0A8A879F7E0?ref_=ast_bln&store_ref=bl_ast_dp_brandLogo_sto) Amazon shop I always use for stuff like this. I highly recommend checking them out if the buttons I showed you aren’t what you’re looking for.
