Hello!
I want to connect an encoder to my Meowbit. But, if you work with contacts, the program freezes after 10-15 clock cycles … I could not find addons … Does anyone have experience connecting and programming an encoder?

You know those dials on some things that can spin forever, and they seem to have “steps” on them?

Those are rotary encoders.

You would probably get them like this:
 ![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex020/uploads/makecode/original/2X/a/ab439a42bdee596c8e944cf33950955528512776.png)
But they are often covered by plastic knobs.
