# Exec function in makecode arcade?

is there any way to run javascript code from a variable or string
for example an Exec function?

Well, besides the one [https://github.com/microsoft/pxt/blob/master/pxtsim/runtime.ts#L1573](https://github.com/microsoft/pxt/blob/master/pxtsim/runtime.ts#L1573) (but that’s for running user code, not user code running user code 🙂 )
