# Extension Microbit to Node MCU?

How are you trying to use it? It looks like it probably needs to connect to a [NodeMCU](https://www.nodemcu.com/index_en.html) module via two pins.

I’ve only take a quick look, but I think the micro:bit just sends serial commands to/from the NodeMCU module to use it for Wi-Fi access.
