# Github invalid token format

Hello! When I try to create an extension for MakeCode for Adafruit Circuit Playground, I see the error “Invalid token format” when I submit the token. I checked to make sure the token is copying over correctly. I also saw [this post on the Adafruit forum](https://forums.adafruit.com/viewtopic.php?p=968211&hilit=invalid+token#p968211), which suggested trying the beta editor, so I tried the webusb editor in Chrome. That threw the same error. Any suggestions on how to resolve the issue would be much appreciated!
