Hi everyone!
Are you a fan of [Hebes! by @InvalidProject](https://forum.makecode.com/t/hebes-by-invalidproject/31141)? Excited to see [the new remake](https://forum.makecode.com/t/hebes-re-monochromatic/40805)? Want to help me bring MakeCode’s talent to people outside the forum, and prove that MakeCode games can succeed on the world’s leading PC game marketplace!?
**I’m fundraising to publish Hebes and make it the first MakeCode game on Steam!** 🥳

The fundraiser will officially launch on **March 15th, 2026 at 12:00 PM EDT!** It will end a month after that on April 14th.
Any amount of support is very much appreciated, even if you can’t donate! (Such as following the project page, sharing it with friends, or just cheering us on! 😆 )

I didn’t expect that a funny little joke I made encouraged and flourished what is quite possibly the biggest milestone in MakeCode history.

Very happy to see that the new rule is only banning fundraising and not banning games on steam!
@randomuser I’m guessing this is to cover the $100 needed to upload a game to Steam. Any plans if the goal is passed? Kickstarter doesn’t seem to have an option to prevent that.

If we pass our goal (which would be SPECTACULAR!!) i’m going to let @InvalidProject decide! I’ve heard they might use any extra funds to put towards supporting other community or indie games.

The rule says nothing about selling games, it only says that you aren’t allowed to raise money on the forum.

Steam accounts are free and the game will be free as well! Also you can play the game with the normal Makecode link, that’s not going away. The Steam version is mostly to prove that it’s possible/that Makecode is a “real” game engine, whatever that means.

Wow. I didnt think something like this would even be possible. We’ve already raised 80 bucks! That’s amazing! I’ll be sure to download the game as soon as its on steam. I love how supportive this community is, and even though I can’t contribute myself, uh… Go team!

Hey everyone! I’ve come to explain one simple thing: What will be done with excess money? The answer is this–Funding!
My game is being backed by the community and I couldn’t be more thankful to see my passion project, my dream to be lifted and held up by you folks. I want to return that love through the funding of another game from @IMakeCode and @RazerTG! Their game is not a Makecode Arcade game. Nor will it be represented as such.
But the two started here. And I’ve admired their work endlessely and have become a big fan of their upcoming game. (Will not mention without permission) So any additional money will go to supporting them and their game. Cya folks soon!
