# Hi everyone, can network get banned connecting to makecode server?

Hi Everyone, i have some problem, and want some advice
so I live in Indonesia and we opened a STEM club, we use makecode microbit and makecode arcade regularly in our lessons, but since 24 may, we can not open both websites with our wifi network, and it’s causing some disturbance in our lesson plan. but when I try to open it with my mobile data, its working fine.
is my wifi banned from accessing the makecode server?

I haven’t heard anything about Makecode blocking access to their services, but I would consult your IT team about blocked websites. They may have seen many kids using a “game” website and blocked it on your end, as they do with most gaming sites. So getting that unblocked would fix the issue. I, too, had to message the IT team in my school to have Makecode unblocked, so it should be pretty simple, especially if you are a teacher because they will probably listen to you.

That’s not an option because I am part of the IT team and developer, and we haven’t changed anything. but thanks for trying to help, it is much appreciated
but if it helps, the last action I take before we can’t access the site is, to make an arcade kiosk machine using some Raspberry Pi, microbit controller, and Python script to get the microbit data to emulate keyboard control.
can it be the reason they block the network because I use a script to control the [arcade.microbit.com/--kiosk](http://arcade.microbit.com/--kiosk) movement? maybe they treated it as a script attack on the server?

Ah, I see. I don’t know much about really any of that. Maybe someone in the [Educator’s Lounge](https://forum.makecode.com/c/educators-lounge/24) might be able to help? I am also gonna call upon Makecode dev @richard because maybe they can give some more insight into this issue. Personally, I really don’t know much about the backend of Makecode, so I really can’t help more than I have. Good luck!!

@TimothyBastiaan we certainly didn’t block you (or at least, not intentionally). i think it’s more likely that either this is an issue with your network configuration or ISP. are you able to reach any of our pages on the [makecode.com](http://makecode.com) domain? what error are you getting specifically? can you post a screenshot?

As for the ISP, I already contacted them and still waiting for their answer.
and as far as I know, I can visit the [forum.makecode.com](http://forum.makecode.com) just fine, haven’t really tried to visit other [makecode.com](http://makecode.com) domains except for [arcade.makecode.com](http://arcade.makecode.com) and [makecode.microbit.com](http://makecode.microbit.com)
well there’s no error message just white blank spaces, and yeah already done the usual stuff like
- Check “is it down” website checking sites. ( well for this it seems the server is up)
- Completely shutdown and restart the computer
- Switch off your internet connection for a while
- Try a different browser.
- Try incognito/private mode
- Clear browser cache

interesting… looks like the domain that’s blocked is our CDN.

@TimothyBastiaan yup, that’s the domain that you’re going to need to get unblocked by your ISP.

ok, then I’m gonna ask the ISP to test the domain.
Thanks Richard for the help I update again when there’s an answer from my ISP
but just to make sure it is mainly from my ISP blocking that site right?
nothing to do with my Python scripting?
if there’s a possibility from my Python script I try searching other ways so it doesn’t happen again

Just want to update you guys, my [makecode.microbit.org](http://makecode.microbit.org) and [arcade.makecode.com](http://arcade.makecode.com) already working, and suddenly the [pxt.azureedge.net](http://pxt.azureedge.net) connection became a success, i didn’t really know what happened since I have been so busy these past few days. hopefully, this forum can help other people who have the same problem as me. Thank you all for the help
