# How to change simulator color randomly

Is this possible because I want to make it change colour depending on the character you’re using, or just randomly for some things.

You can’t change the simulator colour in situ, but you can set it to custom colours!

The simulator color has some [customization](https://forum.makecode.com/t/tutorial-how-to-change-the-simulator-color/27571), but not mid game. Different player views in multiplayer games have different colors, in the editor you can switch between these player views by clicking the colored player icons. So not really…
