# How to recover corrupted assets?

When updating my github repo for my project, my asset files seem to have become corrupted. I have tried importing the project from github using the url of the previous commit (maybe this is the wrong approach?) but I am getting this error:

Looks like there are some errors in the extensions added to this project. How would you like to proceed?

```

and my project fails to load completely.

I can, of course, copy the typscript code into a new project, but is there a way to recover my asset files from the github repo?

Ye I don’t think you can recover it  
I came across this same problem a few months ago and the best thing you can do in this situation…Is start over from the beggining.  
If there is some way to recover them, no one has told me how.

Really a shame - assets are quite hard to recreate.

Really good idea to make a copy of your project in case anything happens.
