# Is it possible to make a "save state" for my Arcade Game?

I am trying to create my own RPG kind of game, and I need the user to be able to save their progress.

I don’t currently see a possible way to save a `.txt` file or something, containing score, money, etc.

Any help with this issue is highly appreciated!! 🙂

You can use the “settings” API to store small amount of data.

Well, I understand that part…(I really don’t) - Kind of like an emulator, where they have “save-state” so that you can save your progress at any time,(Though, in my case, only when you press a button!)

Is this possible to store the current data for future use / next device-reset?
