# I've been working on a typescript project for some time, but I accidentally clicked on main.py and all my code has been lost

Unfortunately the best way is to make backups of your code…

Hey, sorry you ran into this issue! Two questions to start with

- Did you happen to be signed in via [https://arcade.makecode.com/identity/sign-in](https://arcade.makecode.com/identity/sign-in) when creating the project?
- Have you ever used any of the features relating to exporting the project (created a shared version, downloaded to a device via the download button, created a png of it, etc)
