# JACDAC working in beta?

Last Jan./Feb. I did videos showing JACDAC working in MakeCode beta and put links to the code in description of the video. Today I try to install that Arcade code from beta into Meowbit and BrainPad and I get 9 errors and no download. Can anyone help ? @peli ?

They are in the middle of rewriting JACDAC last time I checked…

Yes we are. We’ve gone back to the drawing board and did a major iteration of the protocol. You can read and follow up at [https://aka.ms/jacdac](https://aka.ms/jacdac) . You can also try jacdac in MakeCode Arcade **beta** by importing [https://github.com/microsoft/jacdac](https://github.com/microsoft/jacdac) . However don’t build anything yet, we’ll probably break it.
