# Welcome to the Makecode Awards 2025.
Yes. Makecode awards is running again! It will be annual every April! So without further ado, **let’s dive in**

## What’s new?
- More Categories
- President Elections
- Game of the year
So that’s a lot to look forward to, so vote now!
But first, let me explain how this will work so sit back and read **CAREFULLY**

### 1. Nomination Stage
We nominate our favourite Makecoders in the form given below. There was quite a bit of confusion last year so I’m going to make this clear. You must nominate at least 2 for each award. Afterwards you will choose **ONE** Makecoder out of the given list. But that wil be in the…
### 2. Voting Stage
After the nominees are chosen and Put in a **GOOGLE FORMS POLL THAT WILL BE SENT OUT** , you can choose that one Makecoder that fits perfectly for that award! Time to vote!!
### 3. Reveal
The Award reveal will be premiered on a ✨Special:sparkles: Makecode Award YouTube Channel. The premiere date will be released at the end of the **Voting Stage**.
**If you have any questions feel free to leave a reply. Just remember one thing. DO NOT post your nominations or votes in this topic.**

#### 1. Codeur d’or (Best Makecoder in 2024-Present)
1. Luke Award (Best Art 2024-Present) 3. Future Stars (Best New Makecoder at most 1 year old on the forums) 4. Deep, Deep Lore (Best StoryMaker on the forums 2024-Present)
And for the game awards,
#### 1. Das beste Spiel (Best game in general 2024-Present)
1. Collab Success (Best Collaboration 2024-Present)
2. Best Series (Best game series with more than 3 games)
3. Show-off (Best game showcasing a feature, mechanic or extension 2024-Present)

Actually it’s the leader for most of them except…lemme check…the general best (hebes close contender), collab success and…the showcase one.

So it’s fine if I nominate everyone that’s allowed for the nominee thing but not myself like
“I nominate everyone that’s allowed to be nominated for this but not myself”
