# Makecode beta keyboard and mouse events

So I was checking out the keyboard and mouse events (in a private browser) and… I made a rudimentary keyboard to text game. My only question is- how the heck was it deleted on delete button? This is my code-

And this is a screen video of it deleting on pressing the delete key- sorry that wouldn’t upload so please take my word for it. If you need, open this IN A PRIVATE BROWSER

I understand this is a beta but… I would love to know what is going on.

The **delete** or **backspace** key is not deleting your text. Not exactly, anyway. That key is a shortcut for restarting the simulator.

@Josef You need to add the **Browser Events** extension.

I can’t get the latest version of Makecode Arcade to be able to load nor edit this. Can someone help me out? I’m so dumb.

The “latest” version – that is, the version that the devs are actively modifying, so it could be broken – is the beta version available at [https://arcade.makecode.com/beta](https://arcade.makecode.com/beta) . As BotWarrior states, only open the beta version in an InPrivate window (unless you _really_ know what you are doing).
