nice! I would say style wise you could update the sprites maybe you could use this as insporation:

I actually my character is inspired by speedrunner mario from Terminal Montage. Just less chaotic and has no thoughts in his head. I’m also making this game cause I thought it would be funny since it’s a mario parody.
