# Music Editor thing, Need help

Trying to remake a game right now and using the music editor. Here’s the thing, It Goes above the shown staff (the music) and can’t really touch the music till solved.

Can Yall Tell me all the controls of the editor and if i can go above the staff without using a converter?

Can you explain what “going over the staff” is? In my years of writing music I have never heard of “going over the staff" before.  
Also, what is “it”? I am assuming that “it” is in the image but I can’t tell what you were referring to as “it”.

I don’t think it’s possible to go above, though @richard made an extension that has a block you can edit the octave of a certain instrument. I forgot what the extension was called though.

He means that the song he’s remaking goes over the highest note on the makecode arcade staff, which is G.

Sorry, I Didn’t Clearly State. I am Trying to make a remake of a game thats mostly faithful. However, the music goes farther then the clickable options (you can guess by the sheet music presented).

Since i just learnt that you can change the note from natural to sharp or flat using the J Key, I Wonder if there’s more that i don’t know

What I do when a note is too high to be in makecode is that I just lower it one octave. It does change the song’s feeling, but it still sounds good and not really bad.
