# My 2D Minecraft in MakeCode Arcade!

Hey guys,
I’ve been working on a 2D platformer sandbox for a while inspired by Minecraft below:
The project has many features within such as:
1. 12 different blocks to build with
2. Background Building toggle (allows most blocks to be placed in the background)
3. Night Mode toggle (lowers brightness and mutes audio)
4. 5 64x16 maps (flat, forest, beach, village, mountains)
5. Sound effects for breaking blocks and switching maps
6. 4/12 block having unique actions
7. A 3:30 minute day/night cycle
8. Having the ability to run on (at least my) physical hardware
The controls are below:
Up - Jump/Move up ladder or water/Set build direction to up
Down - Drop down trapdoor/Move down ladder or water/Set build direction to down
Left/Right - Move Left or Right/Set build direction to left or right
A - Select/Break blocks
B - Place blocks
Menu - Toggle menu
Due to my constraints with my handheld, I chose not to include player animations and music, but it is still fully stable, playable and quite frankly really enjoyable.
