# My First Extension

Recently, I’ve been experimenting with creating extensions, and this is what I’ve come up with! It’s nothing much, just a block that credits the text given to it. It can be paired with any block that can store or display text.

I don’t know if it’s the most professional way to do it, but I started coding the extension in the [MakeCode blocks playground](https://makecode.com/defining-blocks), then copy pasted the code into one of my arcade games in a new file in the explorer, as well as in GitHub.
