# Picture transfer

Question: How does one put an external photo into the MakeCode arcade?

I don’t think it is possible to upload image files in a game (.gif, .png, etc), but you can use [https://riknoll.github.io/pxt-arcade-asset-tool/](https://riknoll.github.io/pxt-arcade-asset-tool/).

Just save the photo as a _.png_ file and drag it from the computer to the page. Try not to make your files too big, as the ‘Copy’ button does not always work. Otherwise, within the box on the right, copy the text from where _img’_ begins until the last ’  
For example:

img`1111111’

You need to switch to ‘Javascript’ in order to set the image for the sprite:

My image is quite large, so you cannot see all the values representing a color from the palette.
