amazing game great story so far!  
for keep sprites on screen you could use something like this using relative to camera.

I also made a small demo project you can look at if you want to know how you could have coded something better.

I did use the arcade-sprite-util extension.

Also for making something move  
You could use @UnsignedArduino s TilemapPath extension found here
