# Serial block for MakeCode Arcade

Are there any plans for adding a serial block to MakeCode Arcade like the one in MakeCode? I would like to use a pybadge to read serial data from a usb like using MakeCode with a micro:bit to read/write data.

Thanks so much for your question. Serial blocks/API’s are not supported in MakeCode Arcade, and unfortunately we have no short-term plans to add them. But please go ahead and log this as a future feature request in GitHub - [https://github.com/microsoft/pxt-arcade/issues](https://github.com/microsoft/pxt-arcade/issues), select New Issue, then Feature Request and fill out the prompts.

Would be a great feature with more interconnections between different MakeCode editors and supported hardware!
