# Set zoom to block

It would be great to have a set zoom to block. It would look like this:

Set zoom to \_\_\_%

It would zoom out based on the percentage. 100% would be normal, 200% would be double, etc.

It wouldn’t change pixel size, it would just decrease the resolution of the sprites.

Yeah, this is kind of possible with [https://github.com/jwunderl/pxt-scaling](https://github.com/jwunderl/pxt-scaling) which gives a block to halve the size of an image - not a complete solution, but if someone wants to might be useful to start with / could build a zoom out 2x type of block by applying that to all sprites. (Eventually I might be able to move some of the calculations to c++ to improve perf, but maintaining performance on hardware might be a challenge even if everything is implemented properly – would need to test)
