Even with a website full of awesome palettes, thereโ€™s plenty of fiddling to be done. When Iโ€™m doing pixel art on my own from scratch, I like to pick 4 or so primary colors and then so a light or dark shade of each, usually taking into account things like color temperature and so on. Iโ€™ll use my last few spots for any in-betweens or striking detail colors that would help me illustrate, and voila. Iโ€™m also working on a program that automagically picks a palette based on the image you pass it! My goal is to make a 3d renderer that uses Hex colors for objects and textures but rasterizes them with a constantly adapting Makecode palette on the fly.
