I was mainly talking about the use case of working on a longer song and trying to edit the end of the song. To hear your changes you would have to play the whole song (you can temporarily change tempo to make the beginning faster but this is a temporary and inconvenient fix).

Making a new song with just the ending wouldn’t solve this problem as when you make a change in the end part it won’t replicate in the original song. That either leaves you with the option of trying to copy your changes back to the original song, or splitting your song into smaller chunks to be worked on individually, both options being even more tedious than just changing the tempo.

If there was a play marker like in audacity/fl studio that would help a lot.

I would like to see a a piece that lets you check the entire current tilemap of your game. This means help for checking if two tilemaps are the same of different, without having to check each individual tile.

I don’t think that javascript/typescript has that, so it’s probably not going to be added.

That’s not… that’s not a feature of typescript. Besides, you would still end up chaining them together over and over if you wanted to include more than 2 numbers!

You might be thinking of Python:

```py
if x in (1, 2, 3):
    print("x is 1, 2, or 3")
```

`num = (3 or 4)` if allowed might end up either as `num == (3 | 4)` or `num == (3 || 4)` in JS (which I didn’t even realize did different things), the first one does the typical bitwise ORing while the sceond one is the logical OR (returns first truthy or last falsey in chain / short circuits)

With this:

```py
if 3 in (3, 4):
    game.splash("test")
```

MakeCode correctly converts it to:

```js
if ([3, 4].indexOf(3) >= 0) {
    game.splash("test")
}
```

Which would work for your use case

Typed arrays already exist, it’s TypeScript? Also if you really want to talk to the GPU directly to render many triangles with a function, MakeCode Arcade isn’t the ideal target platform, you’d probably want something like WebGPU
