# 🌈 Weekly Topic: Favorite Color

Hi everyone! Welcome to the last week of January! Kinda wild that we’re already almost one month into 2025.
This week, we are asking the most basic of favorite questions. What is your favorite color? While color is one of the first concepts many learn about, it is also very complex. Color has powerful emotional impacts and cultural meanings. Colors look different when surrounded by other colors (color theory). You can combine them to get something new! Color is definitely one of those concepts that seems simple but there are a lot of complexities to it.
Color monologue aside, let’s talk about our favorites this week. Are you a warm or cool color fan? Is your favorite color part of the rainbow or is it a bit more niche? Let’s chat about it!

My favorite for a long while was red. It’s a favorite color of most of the people in my life so that’s a nice coincidence. Nowadays, I might say it’s tied with the color pink. I think it’s a really cool color and I like the aesthetics that have pink in them.

Dark purple. This was probably a decision I made when I was little because I wanted to be ✨special ✨ and ✨different ✨ or whatever but it’s a decision that has grown on me over time and now it’s actually my favorite.

favourite is navy, love the combo with gold.
however i love the bright neon purples and red of red line and makecode forums 3 as an accent against black-maroon or dark blue greys
finally, the ramp of yellow → yellow orange → magenta → light navy → purple black is just great too recently did a painting using that

I’m a purple lover. If anyone watches stream on Fridays, you get a glimpse of that with my big purple banner in my background. This also used to be my desk set-up. I’ve moved, gotten a different desk, and changed my desk mat to a solid purple, but I think this picture captures how much I like purple 😅.
