Sorry for the late post this week everyone, but hopefully it’s a better late than never situation. It’s starting to warm up, and for some reason, when that happens, I want to eat more fruit… Maybe it’s because I like the fruits that are available in summer most? It has got to be pineapples! Pineapples, my friends, are the undisputed overlords of the fruit kingdom! They just defy all fruit logic. Let me break it down for you. First off, have you ever taken a whiff of a ripe pineapple? I never actually did until a few months ago. It’s like a tropical vacation in a scent! That is, if you actually get it from source (and it’s not on a shelf for days). But the real magic happens when you ACTUALLY EAT THE THING. Each bite is a flavor explosion, with the perfect balance of sweetness and tanginess. It’s like a party in your mouth. I usually slice it up, then put it in the fridge, and then **WHEN YOU TAKE IT OUT…** You’ll eat a bit of it, then, 10 seconds later, IT’S GONE! It’s THAT good and I’m not one to overreact (I think). Now, I know what you’re thinking, “But what about the acidity? Won’t it make my mouth feel like it’s been through a battle?” Yeah, so uh, I’m looking this up now, and pineapples have this incredible enzyme called bromelain, which not only aids in digestion but also acts as a natural meat tenderiser. Again, IT’S THE PERFECT FRUIT. ACCEPT IT. And let’s not forget about the versatility of this tropical gem. Pineapples can be enjoyed in so many ways – fresh, grilled, in smoothies, on pizzas (tha’s right), and even in savoury dishes like stir-fries. They’re like the chameleons of the fruit world, adapting to any culinary situation. So, the next time you’re at the grocery store, do yourself a favor and grab a pineapple (or two ( or three)). Trust me, your taste buds will thank you… Any opposers?! Speak and I will silence you. # PINEAPPLE IS THE PERFECT FRUIT. ---
