Hello everyone and happy first week of September! I always associate September with getting settled into school, so let’s talk about school today! Thanks @RobbyZero for the topic idea! What is everyone’s favorite school subject? It can be something more specific like a course that you’ve taken that you loved like Environmental Sciences, Calculus, or even Band, or it can be the classic broad categories like Language Arts, Math, History, or Science. I’ve always enjoyed my math courses, even the really hard ones! 😄 Those skills come in handy sometimes. For example, just today, I was working on a project, and I needed to create an equation so that an object would trace the path of a parabola. After figuring out a few sets of coordinates in MakeCode Arcade, I smashed some buttons on a graphing calculator, _et voilà_! My sprite traced a perfect parabola with perfect timing! I had really mixed feelings about my computer science courses in college … mostly because I didn’t have very good instructors for many of them. I had an _awesome_ instructor for my database course, though, and I loved that class! My two favorite courses in college, though, were the history of English and Shakespeare. In the history of English course, I learned why we have such _strange_ spelling, and I learned how to transliterate into IPA, which is just a super cool way of expressing pronunciation. My Shakespeare class, of course, looked at many of the bard’s plays and sonnets. I already enjoyed his work; I learned to appreciate it even more through that course. Another of my favorite courses was yet another English course, taught by a faculty member who was _revered_ by nearly everyone on campus. While I enjoyed the course, I enjoyed Dr. Williams’s lectures much more. He was a gifted orator, and I’m so glad I was able to take one of his classes! He affirmed my view that teaching is entertainment. I wish I had known about some of the really cool classes at my university before graduating, like the history of music and jazz appreciation. At the moment, I’m learning about FPGAs, VHDL, and SystemVerilog, and I’m revisiting digital electronics in the process. My goal is to build a simple computer system on an FPGA and write system software for it, and then write a computer architecture course around that project. Never stop learning! ---

I hate school 😃 but if I had to choose I’d say science or art. Art because it’s the only thing I want to actually learn and sciences because it’s easy. ---

Programming/Game development class _SOLOS_ During my freshman year my programming teacher was chill asl and he allowed my friends and I to play SUPER SMASH BROS ULTIMATE almost every class. Since I’m a computer science guy, it was also REALLY EASY. That class was just a free A. ---

Throughout grade school, I really liked pretty much all of my classes. I just really loved learning, so I can’t really just pick one as a favorite. I had the least fun in history classes, though. In college, though, I took my all-time favorite class. I don’t remember the exact title of the class, but it was all about UI design and how to make interfaces that were appealing to users. I learned A LOT and made high fidelity wireframes/prototypes for the projects; it was so fun. If you’re interested in web or app development, highly recommend taking a UI design class!! ---

Anything STEM (math, computer science, etc.) is one of my favorites, and anything arts I don’t like lol. (ex. English, foreign language, history) Although music is an exception, I enjoy playing in band! ---

I was thinking Well i basically code in my sleep so why not chose that but I enjoy history more. My background noise is always something like Extra History, Ted ed, or OverSimplified. Also when Writing a story its neat to get some ideas ---
