Just a question about this mockup… How does importing libraries work though? Since you imported ms-text but in the next line you access it as mstext. Is it a mistake? Is the import a verbose name and there’s an alias? Just curious

Yes, it’s pretty much that, the reason the name is shorter as an import is due to how the language is intended to use. It is supposed to be a simple and easy to learn language which makes the names shorter and easier to type out.

For me, I know

  • Python: I wouldn’t consider myself an expert or anything but I know it fairly well

  • HTML + CSS: HTML is pretty easy to learn in my opinion, CSS is a nightmare (From what I’ve heard, most people agree), and I don’t know JavaScript yet but I’m learning.

  • Lua: I know basic Lua programming, not anything complicated because I learned it to code for the ComputerCraft mod (Yes, I learned Lua entirely for a Minecraft mod)

Of course I also know a bunch of block programming stuff since it’s simple (Code.org, Scratch, Hopscotch, and some others I don’t remember)

(Sry, this topic got put in my unread and I thought it was new)

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm… OH! I think I- wait, nevermind. I don’t get it.

I learned Lua by just looking up how to do the stuff I need in Lua and I learned computercraft by looking at their website which contains every Lua command that it has.
