Here is a bit of Animal crossing lore…  
Issabelle is canonically married to…  
DoomGuy!  
This has been confirmed by Nintendo, meaning that AC and DOOM are in the same universe. Meaning that living in Animal crossing will most likely result in eventual demon invasion.
