Whenever I share a game, the URL is either formatted like `https://makecode.com/_a1B2c3D4f5G6H` or `https://arcade.makecode.com/S12345-67891-01112-13141`

Is there a certain condition or is it just random?

The second version (the one with a capital S) is called a _static link_. You get those when you’re signed into MakeCode. Bonus: You can update the link when you re-share the project, giving you a “permanent” link to your project that always points to your most recent shared version.
