Hello,

This summer I’ve taught a computer science group at my school. I’m not a computer science teacher, and my students came into the summer knowing almost nothing about coding. We spent a couple weeks working with chibitronics, and we’ve spent about four weeks working in the Makecode Arcade. We’ve finished both the skill trees and most of the tutorials. We go back and forth between the blocks and javascript.

What would you recommend for students who have finished the tutorials and want to keep working in Makecode Arcade? The students are in grades K-5. I tried letting the 2nd and 3rd grade group make their own game with some free time and it went worse than I expected, so I’m trying to plan out what I should do for the last week and a half.

> Hi, We’ve been teaching kids(age 8-15) programming using Arcade as well. Although we are teaching them blocks, but some ideas on curriculum design may be helpful. There’s 4 types of activities for the students: Playgrounds Playgrounds like [this](https://forum.makecode.com/t/this-game-is-different-use-your-coding-skill-to-play/), or [this](https://makecode.com/_MYhW8FaYpTxC), each with a list of tasks for students. Playgrounds work as simplified test fields of a certain concept, say, the first one is mainly on a programming concept ‘State’. In order to solve the problem, student should be able to identify differ…

might help?
