I teach high school game design and we use Godot a lot. We really like it. My students take my python class before they can take game design, so that they will have the programming background for Godot. GDscript is good. It’s like python and js combined together. Godot has endless possibilities. The old versions of Godot are available. So if you follow a couple of tutorials to get started, you can use the exact version as the tutorial. But we really like Arcade too. It simplifies the hard edges that come with game design, like multiplayer and web hosting, and lets you focus more on the creativity of the game. And the limitations of the engine cause you to develop creative solutions. But the main advantage is Arcade is fun. We are having a class game jam this week using Arcade. The theme they came up with is ‘Uncharted Waters’. Its been a lot of fun. ---

Overstimulation is my favorite rainbow lights flashing in my eyes with a nature documentary playing on the tv with techno music blasting in my ears…Its awesome ---
