the idea behind the theme was to have games featuring small creatures, bugs or otherwise. i’m not sure why so may people immediately interpreted that as code debugging .
so if you want your game to be on theme, it needs to feature critters of some sort. maybe you can visualize the bugs as a bunch of lil’ guys?
and yeah @ScriptScraper feel free to change the screen size, but note that online multiplayer doesn’t really work if you do that (well, unless you use the second screen extension but i digress).
Ok, well, yeah, my bugs are a bunch of little like, ACTUAL BUG LOOKING computer bugs, and you can play as one and move it around, and the others move to, so that’s good right? I’m not going to get konked on the head for being off theme, right?
Richard certainly knows better than I would. The second screen extension does some crazy manipulations, and apparently it overrides the screen size restriction in “standard” online multiplayer. Framerate will tank and latency will increase, for sure, if you increase the screen size.
I revise my statement, then, to say that it’s ill-advised.
I should have explained my question better.
I knew that custom resolutions worked with multiplayer, it just wouldn’t show the second player what was happening on the screen.
I thought that if you used second screen, it could still let let the second player see that even if it’s a custom resolution.
@CopySprite again, let me be clear, second screen just lets you change the screen size for player 1. all of the other players will have the usual 160x120 screen. there’s no way to give everyone a 240x320 screen or whatever
